Motor vehicle crashes are a leading cause of death among teenage drivers so State Farm has partnered with ITD to help drive down fatalities and injuries among young drivers.
For their 2013 Act Out Loud Rally as part of Global Youth Traffic Safety Month last May, Cookeville High School in Cookeville, Tennessee won a $10,000 prize. Five other schools received $2000 each for their efforts. For more information on the contest and how you can participate in next year's activities, visit the Act Out Loud website at http://www.actoutloud.org/
State Farm is giving ten $100,000 grants and ninety $25,000 grants to high schools again this year through our teen driver safety awareness program, Celebrate My Drive™. Last year, Kentlake High School in Kent, WA, won one of the $100,000 grants. This year, they are hoping more high schools will receive these large grants.
